problem converting cad model

Hi,

 

i am using the model target generator. Everytime i want to import my model i get the error: "There was a problem converting your CAD Model"

- i tested formats like obj, fbx, dae, vrml2, stl

- the object has 100k triangles

-a texture with 2048x2048

-i executed the Software as administrator and with compatibility mode Windows 7

- i am using windows 10

 

nothing worked - hope you can help me

i cant upload the model because of rights but maybe i can send it to you?

Obviously the problem just happens on my mac -  windows 10 bootcamp version (64)

On the windows desktop pc everything works

"There was a problem converting your CAD Model..."

Windows 10. Model in OBJ and BFX. I tried many different models, none of them works. What is the problem?

I'm receiving the same error (Windows 7 and MTG v8.3.8) when attempting to convert the model available here (I chose the colada download option).

I was able to recreate the issue using MTG 8.3.8 on Windows 10. I'll open a ticket for additional investigation and update this thread with any relevant findings.

Unfortunately, no updates for this particular 3D model import issue - it looks like other Colada files are working.

The team has finally resolved this issue with importing this file into the Model Target Generator. A fix will be coming in our upcoming Engine SDK release, expected before the end of the year.

Unfortunately, it looks like I spoke too soon. The fix specific to your issue had to be reverted due to unexpected impacts to adjacent features.
