problem creating marker, height has been deleted

May 12, 2012 - 10:29am #1

I´m trying to create a marker but i get a problem, it says the following:

Target Dimensions Target - marker_image Dimension - Height has been deleted.
Error occured while creating target.

the image that i upload has this dimensions, width = 18.22 cm, height= 6.41 cm.

I don´t know if this dimensions are the causing the problem, but i can't change this dimensions because is the real size of the marker, i don´t know if some has a idea of what is causing this problem?

Hello,

You mentioned something regarding inputting the size of a multimarker image set. I was wondering if you could clarify? I am really confused about what units I should input for the dimensions of the images in my multimarker, in the Target Manager interface. I am unable to get a custom multimarker to work properly (no detection at all).

Can you please explain what the width, height, and length parameters are in the Target manager for creating a multimarker of set dimensions?

Ex: I have a 3 inch by 3 inch by 1.3 inch cuboid that I would like to augment, but I am confused as to how to input the proper dimensions for each side of object.

I tried using the original vuforia (flakesbox) images with some of my own images as a combination setup, but my AR application (I am using Unity iOS) would not detect any of the sides of the image.

Thank you so much!

No, MultiTargets are composed of ImageTargets. They're a collection of ImageTargets in a defined arrangement.

The reason that we let you define the dimensions is so that you can customize your scene unit scale. The scene unit used derives from the target dimensions you provide. This makes it easier to match the scale of real objects and to mix targets of varying dimensions. Though of course you can use DPI if that what you prefer.

Target manager/Multi Targets

Not yet, but I do like the new target manager interface!

Right now, I'm starting to work with MultiTargets.  Is it possible to use Frame Markers in a MultiTarget?  That would save me from having to find images, make sure they work, upload, download, etc.

Another question... when creating a MultiTarget, why do you prompt for the dimensions of the box?  I can understand asking for perhaps the dpi at which the targets were printed or scanned, but given that one piece of information you should be able to figure out the size of the box from the images.  You wouldn't even need that, necessarily, since the user can always scale things in their application.

check your PM. It looks like your jpg file is corrupted, but I was able to generate a trackable by using a png version.

Those dimensions should not be a problem.

Have you tried submitting the target again?

Also what browser are you using? - Firefox and Chrome are recommended.
