qcar-resource.dat file

June 15, 2011 - 10:36pm #1

Hi all,

I have just started developing applications with the AR toolkit. First thing I noticed is that I need to package up the resource file and the associated config.xml file into the apk file. Is there a way of getting around this?

For example, I want to download it from a server via the WiFi network. Is something like this possible?

Is there a chance that that we don't have to compile resouce.dat file into APK ?
Any date / month / year :) ? This is critical for my app.

MyApp have 25MB and need to be updated every week with 10-20 new trackables. User / client dont want to download 30MB package every week :(

How can the resources.dat file be added too, so that old ImageTargets aren't lost to new imported Resource.dat files?
Seems that working with QCAR type trackables is tough, any help is appreciated.

It's not possible at the moment.

It is, however, a popular feature request that everyone would like to see in the near future.
