Target image size

November 17, 2010 - 2:44pm #1

Not usually my style, but I just created a target from an odd sized image.

812 x 574

In the analyse features view, it looks like it has downsampled the image by a factor, then padded the result to a multiple of a power of 2. It has inserted a filthy black bar in the padding, could this effect the tracking quality? Should I be aiming for a multiple of 16 in my source images?

Many Thanks

Dan

P.S. Sorry couldn't make the attachment work, didn't like png or jpg :-(

The downsampling shouldn't be an issue, but I am curious about that black bar. I created a target with the same size and also saw one. It could just be an issue with the preview mode, but let me ask around.

I do not believe that you need to use particular dimensions (or multiples) in your images, but I'll double check.

Thanks for the report!
