Target Manager Blurring Images

May 27, 2014 - 8:46am #1

I've been trying to create a Trackable Image for an electronic breadboard and I've been running into problems.

Today I notice that images uploaded to Target Manger appear to be heavily scaled to the point of blurring.  This makes the features I have created and applied to the breadboard too "soft" to be recognized by whatever the edge detection or patter recognition algorythm the Target Manager uses.

I have attached the original image and a screenshot of what the Target Manager is showing me.

I'm looking for suggestions on how to get this target to work.

I have tried using on my tag for the button locations as the ImageTracker.  But this makes it very difficult to place the wires for the circuit in the correct locations.  And even when I get them right in an overhead orientation, they do not track properly with board movement.

Hi moderator

I also encountered a similar problem where the target manager blurs out the image. I uploaded a high res image but the output image target appears to be blurred, losing the distinct features. Is there anyway to resolve this issue?

That image appears to have 0 stars for its augmentable rating in the Target Manager. You might need to add some more features to the image in order to increase its rating. Here's a couple guides that describe the process and some techniques:
