Getting a high augmentable score with partial cylinder

February 14, 2018 - 8:08pm #1

I just created a cylinder target using an excellent marker (see attached image) and it only scored 3/5, how could I make it score 5/5? When the image is uploaded as an image target it is 5/5

Getting a high augmentable score with partial cylinder

Hello,

The star rating provides a heuristic analysis of the given target, but does not necessarily represent the actual run time detection and/or tracking performance. It is to provide some level of feedback to help guide developers to optimize their targets.

Here is some guidance on optimizing targets: https://library.vuforia.com/articles/Solution/Optimizing-Target-Detection-and-Tracking-Stability

Thanks,

Getting a high augmentable score with partial cylinder

I have the same question. My target gets a 0 star rating if placed on a cylinder, but 5 stars if uploaded as an image target. This also applies to Vuforia's Mars booster image. I never got more than 0 stars. So I thought it's just a bug of the web app. But if you get 3 stars, I am really worried about my target detection quality now :-)
