Apps runs on Viewsonic ViewPad 10s but...

I have got a new ViewSonic Viewpad 10s aka Advent Vega and try to test and do some development on it. I know it is not on supporting list, but the fun thing is the app run. The drawback is I don't know it is doing the tracking or not. Just no tracking event with a proper tacker and the cam image is mirrored. May be better have a function to check what ever the device is being supported other wise we can warn user tracking is not available and working in a limited function mode. If things done right, I can place a tracker on my face and do face tracking with the front cam :D.

Hello, Please note that front camera is not supported yet. Are you using the newest version of the QCAR SDK, 1.0.6 ? Are you developing in Unity or in Eclipse ? This device shoulbe be supported so I would be interested in knowing what the error is. Is there no augmentation?

Hello, When you say you tested with the two sample images, are referring to the chips and stones targets that are bundled with the sample app "Image Targets"? You can only track off of predefined images.

I try to test the devices in better lighting condition , when the tracker is very close to the camera, it trigger the augmentation successfully and the 3D object is augmented flawlessly. But when tracking lost, I need to put the tracker close to the camera to trigger the augmentation again.

Can you provide more information on this device? Is this a commercial device with a stock rom or is it running a custom rom? Can you provide a link to the technical specifications of this device?
