Camera Functions

August 21, 2013 - 8:00am #1

Hi Guys,

We are aiming to build an app with the ability for the user to select which camera (front or back) to then take pictures.

Using the standard Image demo, the camera behaviour has the options for Default, front or back but not to include both main functions.

We're using Playmaker to call the actions, but having issues linking up these two actions.

Has anyone else dealt with the functions or could direct towards a logical solution?

Many thanks

steve

CameraDevice.Instance.Start() / Stop() / Init() / Deinit()

Tracker.Start() / Stop()

Could you tell me which function or functions we would need to use/call

Hi AlessandroB

Thank you for the fix. We'll give it a go and see if it works.

Ok, then you need to stop the tracker and the camera, reinitialize the camera with the desired setting (front or back) and restart the camera and the tracker, in this order:

- stop the Tracker (see https://developer.vuforia.com/resources/api/class_q_c_a_r_1_1_tracker)

- stop the camera (see https://developer.vuforia.com/resources/api/class_q_c_a_r_1_1_camera_device)

- deinit the camera

- init the camera with the desired settings

- start the camera

- start the tracker

Yes we using Unity with Playmaker.

The function we are trying to build in is a camera toggle.

thanks

Yes we want to only use one at a time, but have an option to swap between them.

the camera behaviour has the options for Default, front or back but not to include both main functions.

You can only use one camera at a time, not both simultaneously.
