So I have two devices I'm developing on, a Droid X running the 2.3.3 update and an HTC Inspire 4G running 2.2.1.
The quality with which QCAR renders camera frames on the HTC is vastly superior to the Droid X. The camera frames on the Droid X are super grainy and 'chopped'.
Also, the autofocus function works fine on the HTC, but causes the Droid X to do a near focus and stop, leaving the picture blurry.
The impact of the poor camera quality is highly apparent with the Droid X, it is very slow to discover Trackables while the HTC takes much less time. We are in a well lit environment.
We have another Droid X with the beta release of QCAR ImageTargets running on it. The beta release doesn't have this camera quality issue.
Any idea what changed between the beta and 1.0.0 that would cause this? Any fix? Also, any idea on how to fix the autofocus function on the Droid X?
Thanks!
