Galaxy S6: infamous "library could not be loaded""

September 12, 2015 - 7:17am #1

Hello !

My device model is : SM-G920F
OS is Android 5.1.1, running vuforia 5.
My custom app is build using native code, no Unity there.
I can reproduce the issue with the sample app project: evrytime I click start I get the error message : libvuforia.so could not be loaded.
I can run the object scanner sample without the phone crashing.

The lib is under : ...\jniLibs\armeabi-v7a\libvuforia.so

My project runs on a Xperia SP with android 4.3, Galaxy note 2 4.3, Moto X 5.1, Galaxy S5 5.1 and Nexus 5 with 5.1.

The issue only appears when I try to run the app on the galaxy S6.
Any advices would be appreciated.

Currently, Vuforia is only releasing 32 bit libraries for Android.

I think I got the actual error sorted out : "failed: dlopen failed: "/data/app/com.qualcomm.vuforia.samples.StereoRendering-1/lib/arm64/libVuforia.so" is 32-bit instead of 64-bit"

Now I have no idea how I could fix that issue: there is support for 64 bit architecture since vuforia 4.0.....
