Mirrored camera help

August 23, 2012 - 10:26pm #1

I am trying to run my app in the device rockchip rk30sdk with android 4.0.4 (I think is chinesse), everything works fine, no crash but when the camera is turn on, this is mirrored/flipped so there is no tracking or render of the model, I have tried to update unity to 3.5.5, also landscape left, but it kept the mirrored camera. Please any idea of hoy to change this will be helful, do I have to write an script to change orientation?? is it with the settings of unity? Is vuforia not supporting this device?

Can you send me a build & run log from one of our samples for that device? - if so, please PM me and I'll give you an email address to send this to.

I have the same mirroring problem (and not tracking any markers) on a "Pipo M1" tablet running Android 4.1.1. It is not a custom rom made by the enthusiast community - it is the rom that came with the device.

I bought the Pipo M1 from http://www.aliexpress.com/store/409160 but more specs are visible at http://www.pandawill.com/pipo-m1-tablet-pc-rk3066-dual-core-97-inch-bluetooth-android-41-16gb-1g-ram-dual-camera-white-p66460.html?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2012-10-10

As an interesting comparison, I also bought a Pipo S2 and it does NOT have the mirroring problem - it works fine on exactly the same app. I bought the Pipo S2 from http://www.aliexpress.com/store/905458 with more details at http://www.pandawill.com/pipo-s2-tablet-pc-rk3066-ips-screen-8-inch-bluetooth-android-41-16gb-1g-ram-camera-black-p68274.html

Both tablets run the RockChip RK3066 ARM Cortex-A9 dual core processor, in fact their manufacturer cpu, ram, Android version, screen resolution and back camera resolution are all the same specs - the main difference is the screen size. Both are stock roms.

Hopefully, having a positive and negative test case with such similar variables will help you identify the problem.
