Problems with Device Connection

I have set up all the programs on my PC, running Windows 7, and attempted to install the drivers for the phone, Motorola Droid 2.The hardware was installed (Android ADB Interface) but the software generated this comment. "The software for this device is now installed, but may not work correctly. This device cannot start. (Code 10)" This is after I reinstalled it through the Add Hardware Wizard. I checked to see if it's connect but the device doesn't appear in the DDMS and neither would it connect in cygwin.

Here's more info: Under the Android ADB Interface Properties, it says that "This device cannot start. (Code 10)" Code 10 apparently means that the driver isn't installed properly but it shows this anyway when I try reinstalling it.

This is a USB driver issue, and something we can't really help with. You probably need to grab the latest drivers from Motorola, and perhaps you can contact them if you are having trouble connecting your device. - Kim

I've given Motorola a call already and they claim that it's a software problem. My computer registers the USB connection just fine. I can access the device and store files in it but I it doesn't register in Eclipse. Thanks for the suggestion though.
