Running Vuforia on PC

Is is possible to run vuforia trough PC with a webcam ? This would really expand the oppertunities for vuforia. If not possible by default, does anyone know if it might be possible trough some Android emulator ? If not possible at all to run on a PC. i wouold very much like to add this as a suggestion to the Vuforia Dev's

Vuforia currently only runs on supported devices (Android and iOS), not on the PC or through the emulators. - Kim

Are there any plans for that? I really see great potential in the Cube type AR in combination with Webcam and PC, for commercial and professional use.
