Samsung S8 with 60fps Camera

I am trying to run my application on S8 device. Its camera supports 60fps. Using a native app, it starts the camera with 60fps which gives a very smooth frame transition and nice experience. Using Vuforia It only starts the camera with 30fps, which on a AR headset/cardboard, has a very anoying amount of jittering. How can I force the application on Vuforia use the camera 60fps? Is that possible?

Vuforia SDK APIs do not provide a method for setting the camera's frame rate.
