Take Screenshot without GUI layer showing

I've been going around in circles on this issue for a while and appreciate there are lots of threads on the subject of taking screenshots with and without augmentation, but my issue is this.

Is it possible to take a screenshot (iOS & Android) of the live camera and augmentation without the GUI showing? I'm using Unity with NGUI and everything is working correctly other than the issue of the app GUI showing.

We don't have any experience of NGUI.
