I have an app i did for bt-200 that no longer works as expected on vuforia 5.5.9.
The app used video-see thru to place a model on top of the stones target. I used the example image-target sample and just replaced the teapot.
Things worked fine when i was on version prior to vuforia 5.5.9. The camera would turn on in the bt-200 and i would see the camera video view with the augmented model. The trick in those days was to use the mobile license not the optical see-thru license to activate this mode.
Now on vuforia 5.5.9, only stereo optical-see thru appears to work. I am no longer able to have it render the camera video view with the digital content.
I redid the project from scratch using the both samples given. one using the mobile digital eyewear sample and the other with the regular unity image target sample
I also tried using a mobile license as well as the digital eyewear license.
Using the mobile i get a popup message say this license is not supported on this device.
Is it no longer possible to have video-pass thru AR with BT-200?
If not on 5.5.9 is it possible to download prior versions of vuforia when it did work?
thank you
Hello,
Hello,
As of Vuforia 5.5 SDK, the digital eyewear license key is now constrained to only work for see-through eyewear devices.
It is still possible to render the video background using the 5.5 SDK on digital eyewear devices. Are you using native or the Unity Extension?
i tried the Unity plugin. I
i tried the Unity plugin. I tried using both image target samples provided (core and eyewear).
what are the exact combinations of settings to enable video ar on bt-200?
Hello,
Hello,
I am not aware of a way to render the video background on see-through eyewear devices using the Vuforia 5.5 Unity Extension. I have confirmed the same with our development team.
