Hello,
I have recently followed the instructions on getting google cardboard to work with the AR, however when I run the application on my phone or in unity, the camera is black, however when I point the camera at the target, the target object displays, and the background is still black...
The instructions talk about enabling a "See-through" option, which is non-existent.
Both the VR and AR components are working perfectly, however the background is black and the camera background is not showing as intended.
VUFORIA VERSION: 7.0.36
GOOGLE VR: GVR SDK for Unity v1.120.0

I had the same exact problem. I just solved it by adding "Vuforia", after "Cardboard" in the VR SDK's in XR in player settings.
In digital eyewear my settings are :
Device type : Phone + viewer
Viewer config: Vuforia
Did everything you mentioned

Hello Strasza and thanks for the reply. Do you mind explain in details,I cannot find a single working demo for vuforia VR, I tried all the options including the vuforia VR as you suggested. Please advice the appropriate settings in SDK to use with vuforia in order to view the ar project in VR.
In Player Settings -> XR
In Player Settings -> XR Settings add Vuforia to the Virtual Reality SDKs list and nothing else. Then in the Vuforia Configuration set Device Type and Viewer Config to "Phone + Viewer" and "Vuforia" respectively.
