Vuforia Calibration Assistant questions

Does this apply to apps that are developed as per AR/VR Sample with Google Cardboard integration?

I see the calibration app is for Android, is there an equivalent for IOS calibration, presuming the actual calibration needs to be run on the same device as the AR/VR app?
