vuforia-samples-eyewear-unity-5-5-9 built-in cardboard not work

I use the example vuforia-samples-eyewear-unity-5-5-9, and load ARVR-5-5-9.unitypackage,

with an Android Phone i can see normal AR and mono VR scene.

But as the tutorial sayes:

Technique #1. Using Vuforia 5.5's Built-in Support for Cardboard
Vuforia 5.5 introduces built-in support for Cardboard so that it is no longer necessary to import the Cardboard SDK into your project and perform the lengthy integration steps as described in Technique #2 below. The AR/VR 5.5.9 sample app is already pre-configured with the correct Cardboard settings and ready to build. If you want to enable Cardboard support in your own existing Vuforia 5.5 project, follow these steps:

1. Select the ARCamera and set the following values on the DigitalEyewearBehaviour script:

    Eyewear Type = Video See-Through
    Stereo Camera Config = Vuforia
Viewer Type = Generic Cardboard (Vuforia) or Cardboard v1 (Google)

2. In the Unity Player Settings, set the Default Orientation = Landscape Left

But I cannot find   "Generic Cardboard (Vuforia) or Cardboard v1 (Google)"  in Viewer Type select box o ARCamera, there's only one CUSTOM only.

And there's no stereo effect with the method Technique #1 config.

why?  are there bugs or incompelete functions for 5.5.9 version?

Digital Eyewear is a slightly overloaded term on our portal. For the Vuforia License Manager, Digital Eyewear refers to optical see-through devices (for 5.5, this is ODG R-6, ODG R-7 and Epson BT-200).

So just to be clear, on Windows, you will not have the option to choose anything other than 'Custom' for the 'Viewer Type' unless you go through all the perlaver of installing 32 bit Unity, having to have extra un-necessary Unity versions, having to install Unity all manuallly rather than just us
