The Cloud Recognition sample is configured with access credentials to a cloud project provisioned by the Vuforia team to allow the sample app to work out-of-the-box. If you would like to experiment with this feature using the Cloud Recognition sample app, we recommend that you do the following:
- Sign-up for the Cloud Recognition service inside the Target Manager
- Create a Cloud Database
- Create one or more Image Targets in your Cloud Database, by uploading (for each target):
- an image of your choice (JPEG or PNG, not larger than 2 MB and in RGB 24 format - no alpha channel)
- a metadata file (a simple text file, for instance "my_metadata.txt", that you need to create beforehand) containing one of the following lines of text (note, just one of them, at your choice, not all of them):
samplebook1.json
samplebook2.json
samplebook3.json
- Download the client access/secret keys, and replace the "kAccesskey" and "kSecretKey" default values with your own key values in:
- in Unity, paste the keys into the Access and Secret key fields in the Cloud Recognition prefab
- in Android, replace the "kAccesskey" and "kSecretKey" default values with your own key values in /jni/CloudReco.h
- in iOS, replace the "kAccesskey" and "kSecretKey" default values with your own key values in CRQCARUtils.mm
