Is this achievable using Vuforia SDK?

April 16, 2015 - 1:59am #1

Hi,

I would appreciate it very much if someone will please kindly give me some advice to see if the following is possible to be done using Vuforia SDK with Unity3D?

The image consist of a list of same shape/pattern arranged accordingly by rows and columns. Lets say that I have an image with a list of squares as shown in the image square1.jpg and then the image have some other type of pattern/shape on top of it or it had been deformed as shown in the image square2.jpg (The deformation can be in various types/shapes/pattern), and I would only like it to tract/get the deformed ones and then display some 3D/2D objects on it to pin point the deformed areas.

Is this possible to be done using Vuforia SDK?

Thank you.

Regards,

AuroraBlaze

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.

I would like to use a 3D/2D model to highlight/pin point the deformed area to the user. Lets say that currently I have an image with a list of squares as shown in the image square1.jpg , this image is the original image without defectes, and then in image square2.jpg, there is an extra line in between the squares which is the defect. I would like to have something like in image squareHighlight.jpg where by it will have the red squre to highlight the "extra line" to inform the user that there is a defect and will pin point the defect to the user.

Also the defect can be in any types of shapes that overlaps the squares, and I would like to pin point only defects to the user. I am just wondering if what I am trying to do is achievable using Vuforia SDK and Unity 3D.

Thank you.

Regards,

Aurora.

Hmm... I do not understand what you wrote. But just in case - the patterns can not be used as image target.
Can you show it more detail?
