Changing license of cloud database

June 10, 2015 - 8:54am #1

Hi,

just received a "Vuforia Monthly Reco Usage Limit Reached" email.

do you know how I can upgrade my License? Can this be done online, or only by Vuforia?

do you know if I can change my database license? It is currently linked to a license and I would like to buy a license and link that to the current cloud database. Can this be done online, or only by Vuforia?

Greetings,

Gerrit Verhaar

Thx for your answer. Almost hit the 'Like' button. Would have done that because your answer is correct. This is the same reply I received from Support.

Now there is no real 'like' cause changing database is off course not a nice friendly way to upgrade. The VWS API is there and works, but changing licence and db forced us to push out new versions of our app and sync this with the backend vws change and vuforia db upgrade. Would have been nice to know this in advance so that we could have scheduled the upgrade.

For a standard Cloud DB (non-Legacy), if it is assigned to a Starter license key, then there's no option to re-assign it to a different key. In that situation, you need to create a new Cloud DB and assign it to the key of your choice. For a Cloud DB, uploading targets can be done programmatically using our VWS API. For a Device DB, targets must be uploaded using the Target Manager.
