Controlling ARCamera in Unity3D

The ARCamera gets its position and rotation updated to give the correct perspective of the scene given position of the real target. I would like to temporarily stop tracking the target and get control of the camera's position and rotation. I would also like to be able to yield control back to Vuforia once my process is finished.
