Creating trackable

July 21, 2011 - 6:35am #1

Hi,

I am trying to create a 2D trackable similar to the one in ImageTargets sample. Only difference is that my image has virtual buttons also.

The dimensions of my image are 550 x 385.
On the 'Create Trackable' window I was asked to provide only the width under 'Expected Trackable Dimensions'. I filled in 247 for the width. Then when I clicked on 'Upload' button, the web page did not respond for a long time and this happened for several times. When I clicked on 'Back', I could see my uploaded image with width as 247 and height as 0 and the image was scaled vertically which was not expected.

What should be done to get correct aspect ratio?

Thanks,
Kranti

Sorry for the inconvenience. There appears to be an issue uploading jpg files with certain rgb profiles. Uploading the image as a png file will correct the aspect ratio issue. The RGB profile issue has been logged and should be fixed soon. For the time being converting an image to png will give it the correct aspect ratio.

Thank you,

-Peter

Following is the image under My Trackables and also the web page screen-shot.
It shows:- Width: 247.0 Height: 0.

Hello,

The Height should automatically be calculated. Before the image is uploaded the Height will show 0. Once the Image is uploaded the Height should appear correctly.

In the My Trackables >> >> window you will see both a full size representation of your target and a small thumbnail of your target. The thumbnail is not scaled correctly as it is just there for reference.

Can you post a screen shot of what you are seeing?

Thank you,

-Peter
