Getting ARcamera background pixel color at runtime

November 26, 2014 - 7:25pm #1

Hi,

I was encounter this problem, I need to take pixel color  of what ARcamera showing at specific position. firstly I was trying to capture the screen and get pixel how ever the interval is too long and get to delay. I need to get the color as soon as my app detect the target. Is there any suggestion or any way to do that ?

I am using unity with latest vuforia 3.0 .

Thanks

For the black and white issue that you mention, this should depend on the selected Camera Frame Format

(about setting the Frame format, see also:

https://developer.vuforia.com/forum/faq/unity-how-can-i-reset-frame-format-scene-reload

)

Concerning the delay you mention (I guess you mean there is a certain performance cost in retrieving the camera image pixel by pixel), I am not aware of faster ways, but you may want to also check in the Unity forums to see if there is a  better "Unity way" of reading the screen pixels.

but i have tryied that, it would give me black and white picture at the end, in addition it would not get the image at every moment , and it has a big delay. it is not the one i want.
