Hi All,
I've received an email allegedly from
trying to get me to 'complete a survey' and offering the chance to win an Amazon voucher and looks very much like a scam to lead me somewhere loaded with malware.
The message content reads as follows:
You have been specifically selected as a respected source for valuable feedback based on the relationship you have with us. We are interested in learning about how you have used Vuforia to create compelling AR experiences.
By taking this short survey you will help us to make future product improvements and to create an even better customer experience. Your answers will remain anonymous, unless you indicate otherwise.
The survey must be completed by Friday, February 2, 2018 to be eligible for one of ten $100 Amazon gift cards that will be drawn at random on February 5, 2018.
Thank you in advance for your participation and support,
The Vuforia Team
All the links in the email (including the Unsubscribe link) look to lead to a very strange looking web address, so I'm assuming this is fake, but it would be great if Vuforia can confirm this and at least people will know to delete this email if they receive it.
My only other question is, if this is fake, how did these people know I use Vuforia?
Hello black_ridge,
This is a legit email. It's possible that your email client is appending to the URL and garbling it a bit. I know clients such as MS Outlook do this sort of thing often.
Thanks and sorry for the confusion,
Vuforia Support
