Image Pattern Recognisation

Hi Guys,

 

Just wondering if it is possible to use single image as pattern and then we can detect simlar images using Vufroia SDK?

 

To elaborate more, lets say I have Trackable Data of Apple Image, now if i point the camera to any apple then it should detect that?

Is it possible in reality?

You can track cuboid, not sphere. But you can try uploading apple's sides, top and front and see whether your app recognises the object.

whichever you want to - the best thing is to try it out.

if you look at the stones and tarmac - both are predominantly b/w whereas chips is colour.

I'm playing with pepsi's logo, and it, being almost featureless, doesn't track. But I wonder will you consider adding image matching algorithm in addition to feature based algorithm?
