Hi I wondered if any UK developers have had this issue. I tried to buy a licence, but was told by Vuforia that I would need a VAT number. I explained that my UK company, like many in the UK is not VAT registered. Vuforia wouldnt have that. They wanted me to get the client to supply a VAT number - I'm the client, the app is for me. Then I tried to buy a licence as an individual. Once again Vuforia said I needed a VAT number.
Basically as they are merely supplying a computer generated software code with no physical manifestation it seems more that an little stupid.
Any ideas??
I know this is a old thread,
I know this is an old thread, but did you manage to solve this issue?
I'm facing a similar situation and the support team is extremely slow giving feedback.
Ditto, Ireland here.

I'm not even a company, but this is pretty ridiculous. I just want to buy your product.
Hello,
Hello,
You will need a VAT number for purchasing a classic license in the UK. You can feel free to contact the sales team with the link provided by dm3d for any questions or issues with this.
Thanks,

I know this is an old thread, but it's 2019 and this problem continues.
A friend of mine bought a classic license just to have it cancelled a few days later because a "valid VAT number" wasn't provided.

Hi, I have the same problem.
Hi, I have the same problem.
Hello,
Hello,
Sorry to hear of your unsatisfactory experience.
We recommend that students use a Development License, which is free and unlocks all of Vuforia's features for development and test. This will not require you to provide a VAT.
This is ridiculous. I'm
I'm having the exact same issue purchasing from Spain.
I really think they should inform that a VAT number is required in the pricing section. It is not that common as most EU medium or small companies just provide for EU clients.
