License and Python Binding

September 25, 2011 - 5:15am #1

Hi,
I'm considering QCar for building an AR program but I have a couple of questions first:

  1. What is the license? Is there a commercial license I should be aware of?
  2. Is there a python binding for it?

I don't know yet. I found this but I don't know if it will help
http://code.google.com/p/python-for-android/

I'm just weighing my option before getting into the actual designing

But it seems like a lot of work to make this work with python . I guess it will be easier if I just learn JAVA
:D

I honestly don't know. QCAR does have C++ headers, but would your python binding work with the Android NDK?

Thx for the quick reply :)

Please bear with me as I'm new at this :)

QCAR has C++ headers right?
Can SWIG do the trick for making a Python binding?

The license agreements are available online: http://ar.qualcomm.com/legal/license

The SDK is free to use in your applications, there is no "paid" version.

Sorry, there isn't a python binding for QCAR.
