Object Target

I have created an Object Target using the scanning tool on an S5. When I test in the scanning tool it picks up the object from every angle with the little green box.

Once I've taken it into Unity, set up a few simple cubes to show when the object is detected it will only ever show the cubes when I am standing in the one position. For exmaple I have a triangle type object. It will detect if I'm looking at the object from the bottom of the triangle, but never from the top sides of the triangle. Is there any reason this should be happening?

After the scan the lightiing conditions and position of the physical object have never changed. It works great from the one side and the only thing I can do is use extended tracking to walk around it. What is the point of scanning all side if you have to start from the position in which the scanning target is facing during the scan? Is this the way it was intended to work or should I be able to detect from any position around the physical object?
