Port to BB10 & WP8

December 20, 2012 - 9:30am #1

Vuforia is a great library as it is but would be greater if it could be used on up and coming platforms - Blackberry 10 & Windows Phone 8. I'd like to know WHY Qualcomm is not porting Vuforia to these platforms given that a lot of these new devices are using the Snapdragon processors.

The FastCV site suggests that Vuforia is built on top of it, but that itself is available only for Android. Then how does Vuforia support iOS?

I'm sure a lot of developers out there would love to have Vuforia on BB 10 & WP 8 and some would even volunteer to port the library to these platforms, should Qualcomm be so inclined. Would Qualcomm be willing to open source this great tool to the community?

Any news on this? Unity is now publishing for Blackberry and Windows. It would be very good for Vuforia to step in.
