Reduce accuracy/precision threshold to increase allowance for variation or "false positives"

September 5, 2017 - 8:14am #1

Hi everyone, I have been playing around with Vuforia and Unity for  some time, and while precision of object scanning and detection is quite impressive, id like to know if it can be turned down by a bit in order to allow for variations in object design.

My project has to do with recognition of different kinds items at bakery/cafe and as you know, no two slices of bread will ever be exactly same. I would actually want vuforia to mark a piece as "positive" even if it is say an 75-85% match rather than a full 100%. Id like to know if that is possible with vuforia.

Thanks in advance.

PS on a seperate note: id really love it if someone could answer an android related query of mine at (https://developer.vuforia.com/forum/android/readwriting-permission-issues-and-unsupported-mime-vuforia-android)

Hello saadjumani,

This is not something currently supported by Vuforia, but it is currently under review by our product team for potential future inclusion.

Thanks for your feedback and continued interest in Vuforia,

-Vuforia Support
