Render a texture at particular location in Unity3d

Hi,

I am developing an app in Unity3d, with editing of ImageTarget Sample Project. In my App i don't need marker so i disable these functionalities, and I want to render a texture a particular location using GPS. Now I am able to show 2d Texture at particular location and that is attach with live camera if I move my device it keep moving and what i need is that I want to show image which is stuck at specific point, like we show on marker and if we move device then again it remain  same on marker. I need both show image and 3d object. I am not able to accomplish this task. Kindly help me on that. That will be great for me.

Hi did you find a solution? I want to do the same using gps and gyroscope accelerometer data

Hi Aleem,

Sorry for the delay in replying.

I am not quite sure what you are trying to do, and it does make me wonder about the use of Vuforia given that you are not actually using any markers - Vuforia's main purpose is to identify and track these.

I am wondering whether you are trying to do something as shown by ARMaps here:  http://www.psfk.com/2012/11/google-augmented-reality-maps.html

If so, I wonder if it might be better to use dedicated software that can align camera position/orientation with GPS positioning, and that can use the Gyro to help you achieve what you want.  It might also be worth checking out Gimbal https://www.gimbal.com as it has a demo project with Vuforia and is al about delivering contextual information to people based on their location etc.
