Hi Guys,

Any idea on the technology behind this type of solutions:

Thanks,

The first video is simply augmenting a 3D model on top of the video feed.  Basically a sequence of animations that respect the fixed position of the car i.e. the leopard animations appear to respect the car dimensions.

This is easier because the video camera position is not moving, so there is no need for tracking.

The key thing is how to trigger the animations which could be achieved with virtual buttons - this is what happens in the second video when people stand on the square.

Hello Nalin,

Thanks a lot for the clarifications/points. I have not noticied the virtual button like element in the second implementation. I was thinking that it is also pretty similar.

> Is it possible with Vuforia? Or do you know any other library/technology capable of doing that? I have a client requirement for implementing that and I am not sure on how to proceed with this.

Thanks,

BP

Is it possible with Vuforia?

Well, that is up to you.

It ought to be possible, but the best thing to do is to develop a prototype where you tackle the high risk areas first, and address feasibility.

Hello Nalin,

Since Vuforia is not having a Win/Linux desktop equivalent at the moment, could you suggest me a framework for implementing this on desktop?

Thanks,

BP

Sorry, there is nothing I can recommend here.
