Toys in Reality Demo Markers

Hello there.  We just came across this video on youtube showing a Vuforia based Sesame Street application (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUhQDXDfxhc).

What I'm curious about is how we can create and use our own 3D figurine markers like Bert, Ernie, the TV and jukebox shown in the video.  We've been using image markers for a while but this could open up a lot of possibilities for us.
