Let's take a user scenario: Place the phone on the table and register that as the (0,0,0) position of the phone. Then record the movement curve through the inertial sensors of the phone and use that tracking point to augment anything on it. Is this in any way possible?

We are currently looking to do this also. We have hit a major tracking problem with the gyro etc in android and cannot even call up the gyro in the new galaxy tab pro devices - have you any experience with gyro in unity3d packaged vuforia environment?

Unfortunately, no. I am a beginner mostly with the vuforia sdk. I just hoped that there might be somebody from the Vuforia team looking into this as a posible direction. If so, please enlighten us a bit
