useing database to store the trackable/effect pair

January 22, 2012 - 7:07am #1

Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible to have my trackables/effect in a database e.g.MySql to store 10000s of trackables and their individual effect such as rendering teapots, animated cars ...etc

so that when a mobile cam is pointed into an image in real world it checks this camera view against all trackables stored in this database, if found one that match, then it fires the linked effect.

I hope I have explained my self clearly.

Hope to get an answer.
Thank you for reading.

Currently we suggest a limit of 60 targets active at once for tracking. Using QCAR 1.5, you can divide a larger set of targets into individual datasets of this size, but you can only activate one set at a time.

You can load a dataset from anywhere on the device's file system.

The database functionality would be up to you. You could for example have a table with where each row has the dataset name, target name, and content to display. This isn't a feature QCAR provides.
