So I recently installed the latest Vuforia Object Scanner (scanner-5-5-11.apk) on a Samsung Galaxy S6. (The Vuforia website says that the latest version now only works on Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S7, so this shouldn't be an issue.)
But when I ran the app, the point capturing was not as good compared to the demos I've seen on Youtube. It takes a relatively long time to get a lot of points and it creates a dome much larger than the size of the object. I've tested it multiple times with different objects and it's always the same case. (In the Youtube demos, the dome stays close to the size of the object being scanned)
Finally when I test my object, the detection and tracking is not as good as in the Youtube demos, the green box doesn't appear stable and follow smoothly when I move my target object. So I'm not sure if this is just an issue on the latest Vuforia Object Scanner version or if its just my phone or something else.

Has anyone tried the latest Vuforia Object Scanner app (5-5-11) on a Galaxy S6 and get stable tracking like in the Youtube demos?
Thanks.
Hi
Hi
I have the same problem, but my device is a Samsung Tab A tablet.
I have achieved to capture 520 points in an object, but later it does not recognize well the object. Any trick about lighting, position ...?
Thanks
