I have now googled and searched this forum for some time and think the answer is yes, but can this really be?

Is Vuforia (incl. the Unity extension) really free, regardles of what you use it for?

Can I create an iOS app or a game using Vuforia for Unity and publish it in the app store free of charge, royalties etc.?

If so? THAT IS AMAZING, but where does Qualcomm make their money?

Most features of Vuforia Engine are now free to use commercially! This means that you can create a new license to get rid of the watermark for nearly all features and can use it in your commercial apps. You can read more about it here:

Yes, basically you can build and publish a Vuforia-based app for free, as amazing as it sounds :-)

But I recommend you to read the license anyway.

Note however that for the Cloud Recognition service (if you plan to use this specific feature of Vuforia), there is a specific licensing and pricing scheme, see here:

However, since this is a technical forum, if you have specific license-related questions, it is better to address these questions to:

and select the Licensing category in the dropdown menu.
