Vuforia on Windows Phone 8
It's really a disappointment the lack of willingness from the Vuforia Team to support Windows Phone (at least with the latest Windows 10 version).
There is a free solution that supports it: ARToolkit (its tracking solution for NFT markers is not as robust and straightforward as vuforia's, but at the end of the day it does the job).

No news.
But feel free to vote for it by adding a post in the wish list:

There is nothing to announce at the moment about Windows Phone 8 support, beyond what DavidBeard already said in a previous message.
But you can post one more request (as we have already many others like yours) again in our Wish List:

Vuforia works good on iOS and Android with Unity3d. That's great! even fantastic.
However without Windows Phone on the roadmap (8 or 8.1) for our projects we would have to look for a true multi-platform AR.
It is clear that without all the needed API's in the Windows Phone it might be impossible for Vuforia to implement their full featureset.
For many a stripped down featureset would be enough.
Something like (1) Detect marker/photo, (2) feed angles/distance to Unity3d to control the camera angle/distance.
Would that be possible?

I would also like to add my request for Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8. I am currently using OpenCV based solutions that are not ideal and using the Vuforia SDK would be a huge step up for my apps. With Native C++ support on both platforms and a fast growing user base, these seem like the logical next step of platforms to support.
There is an annoucment of support for windows 10 – is that mean desktop only support or also mobile phones?
