Vuforia on Windows Phone 8

Hi!

I don't know where to ask this, but Windows Phone 8 now supports native C++ development and most Windows Phone 8 has Qualcomm's chipsets.

When will we have a Vuforia SDK for Windows Phone 8?

Thanks!

We are committed to supporting all Qualcomm partner operating systems. Both Windows RT And Windows Phone 8 are important partners Oses. At this time we do not have anything to announce.

I would also like to add my request for Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8.  I am currently using OpenCV based solutions that are not ideal and using the Vuforia SDK would be a huge step up for my apps.  With Native C++ support on both platforms and a fast growing user base, these seem like

Vuforia works good on iOS and Android with Unity3d. That's great! even fantastic.
However without Windows Phone on the roadmap (8 or 8.1) for our projects we would have to look for a true multi-platform AR.

There is nothing to announce at the moment about Windows Phone 8 support, beyond what DavidBeard already said in a previous message.

But you can post one more request (as we have already many others like yours) again in our Wish List:

Hi, any news on this? Or is it possible that the interest in this direction got smaller (at least in long-term view) with microsoft's announcement of HoloLens?

Hi Vuforia Team, is there Windows Phone support planned?

We would need the Image Target feature available on Windows Phone in the near futre. Preferreably through the Unity Extension.

Can you advise on if / when this would be available to developers? Thank you.

It's really a disappointment the lack of willingness from the Vuforia Team to support Windows Phone (at least with the latest Windows 10 version).

Would love to hear some news (any news) from the Vuforia team on this regard now that the aquisition by PTC has been completed.
