I'm planning on creating an android game for 5 years old that will enhance their mathematical skills, the game will be a question and answer game, first the user will need to target the image and a question will pop up like "How many oranges do you see?" then 3 choices will pop up and so on and so forth... now I'm just beginning to learn Augmented Reality and I've discovered that there are many approach in making a game like this, what I want is your suggestion on what approach is you think is the easiest for me to follow on.
What is the best approach for you in making this game?
I recommend evaluating FrameMarkers for this application - https://developer.vuforia.com/resources/sample-apps/frame-markers-sample-app
FM's encode a numerical ID into the border of the image and enable you count and distinguish among multiple identical images (e.g. oranges ). You can also detect images that won't be easily detectable as ImageTargets, such as the arithmatic operators ( + , - , x etc..), and numbers.
