This is a basic Unity3D related topic (not Vuforia);

please check how to work with Assets in the Unity website, for instance, for assets:

http://docs.unity3d.com/Documentation/Manual/ImportingAssets.html

Any guide on that? :) sorry for the trouble.

Oh, sure, you can combine Unity with Eclipse, here you have two possibilities:

  • make your project in Unity and then "export" the project to Eclipse and work in Eclipse to add GUI elements and other stuff in Java, see here:

https://developer.vuforia.com/resources/dev-guide/extending-unity-android-activity-and-adding-custom-views-eclipse

  • or you can create a Java Android Plugin in Eclipse and then use it from Unity, here is a tutorial that we wrote on how to do that:

https://developer.vuforia.com/resources/dev-guide/unity-android-plugins

Both approaches can work well, up to your preferences.

I hope this helps.

Can all the works in Unity transferred into eclipse? means only the 3D content from unity goes to Eclipse..because i need the design in eclipse for the apps(like main Menu)..or there are other ways?

With Eclipse, you can import 3D models too, however Vuforia native SDK does not provide a ready-to-use solution for that, so you will need to do one of the following:

  • integrate some third-party rendering engine (or game engine) for Android,
  • or otherwise write your own 3D model loader and write the OpenGL code to render it (this can be farily complex, unless you are a real master of OpenGL programming and similar)

My suggestion is to use Unity.

Thank you so much! :).

One question. Eclipse and Unity which one is easier to use? :) I still confuse on these two about the creation of 3D models. From what i know, we create 3D models from Maya(example) then "drag" it to the Unity to apply it to our apps. how bout eclipse?

Hi,

you can start from reading the develoepr guide:

https://developer.vuforia.com/resources/dev-guide/getting-started

then I would recommend you download our samples and compile and run them, and you spend somtime on their code (you can start with the "Image Targets" sample, which is probably the most basic one):

https://developer.vuforia.com/resources/sample-apps

Also, this section explains how to setup Vuforia SDK, including step-by-step guide on how to setup things and compile samples:

https://developer.vuforia.com/resources/dev-guide/getting-started-overview
