Width Value of Image Target

September 20, 2019 - 2:38am #1

Hi,

Can anyone explain in simple terms what width value we should give while uploading image targets on Vuforia? It is said that the unit should match with the scene unit. What does this mean? I am facing some issues with the detection of image which has 4 star rating as image target and I feel it is because of the width value I have given.

Thanks & Regards,

Width Value of Image Target

Hi,

The idea behind the width is that we want to make sure that your print-out, piece of paper that should be recognized, is matching from a scale perspective the file that you upload to Target Manger.

The number that you add there is in meters, the scene units in unity are also in meters.

If you have issue with recognizing a target, please go through below article which provides best practices on this topic: https://library.vuforia.com/articles/Solution/Optimizing-Target-Detection-and-Tracking-Stability Thank you. If something is not clear, please feel free to ask additional questions.

Thank you.
