i want to delete my databases because i don't use most of them. i read that it is removed. Please bring it back :)
UE4 Support would be great.
This is a feature we are waiting for for a very long time now. I cannot understand why standalone builds are not possible. Vuforia works in the Play mode of the Unity editor pretty well, so this has to be an intentional decision instead of a technical limitation.
Deleting databases that users create is not a nicety, but a necessity. It is like having toilet paper in the bathroom. You can't do without it. Please fix.

We are dearly missing support for desktop apps on MacOS and Windows. Albeit this works in the editor, it doesn't work in a production build. Would open up a lot of amazing applications.

Just took a look at the unreleased Unity Beta. Noticed addition of Positional Device Tracking.
My vote would definitely be this:
#1) Replace roational/positional tracking model correction with ARKit & ARCore tracking (just their rotational tracking & positional IMU tracking implementations, if their full visual SLAM is too heavy to run in the background of Vuforia). I noticed the addition of Positional Device Tracking in the unreleased Unity Beta 2017.2.0b10. Really looking excited and hoping this doesn't just mean adding Hololens compatibility.
#2) Unreal Engine. This is a must for us to keep using Vuforia. With ARCore & ARKit now on Unreal Engine, we can no longer afford to do future projects in Unity anymore, so this means making due with ARKit/ARCore World Tracking until Vuforia Image Tracking arrives in Unreal Engine. The graphics in Unity are just too cheap-looking for our client demos.
It would be nice to have an access to the text recognition string for the unidentified words, so there would be a way to scan strings that were not added to the list (sometimes it is not possible to add all strings that you want to be detected by text recognition - like codes that are going to be send to backend to check if they are valid to be used).
I would like to delete one of my Databases, becsuse people may create some useless Databases carelessly.
If it's unable to delete, one's Databases would be chaos and confused.

It would be really nice to be able to save or upload a UDT, I can think of several cases where it would be handy to save a user's target.
Can we still not upload the image direct to Device Database through any api ? is it still manual to upload the images ?

The good looks of UE4 graphics combined with the excellent tracking of Vuforia would make a nice duo.
Being able to upload my own 3D model, into Object Target prefab, instead of using the Object Scanner, would be amazing.
We have been trying out this out quite a bit, but being able to control the lighting at the end result is pretty difficult.

I'd like a way to recognize real world objects like google image does. Imagine you could point your camera at any object, say, a car on the street and vuforia would know that it is a car and calculate the planar info based on what it knows about cars and roads, etc.

i was extremely surprised this was not already there being the camera works fine withing Unity editor testing.
My suggestion is to support downloading devices databases via Vuforia Web Services. Our users need to support offline recognition when internet connections are slow. So we would like to periodically update device databases from Target Manager Services.

We also need the Windows 10 standalone support. And Universal Windows Platform support should not costs $2500,= per app but be included in the Classis license.
We also need support for Unreal Engine 4 with Vuforia on Android, iOS and Windows 10 standalone. That would combine the best AR solution with the best 3D engine on the market! :)
I'm not sure how many times you have to read this, but it would be really great if you could add support for ARM builds on Windows 10.
We are working on a great mobile app sporting Vumarks and an ImageTarget which is already released in Play Store and App Store. I would have added Windows Store support since the first day, but it wouldn't make sense to release our app as PC (x86) UWP build only, because it partially relies on GPS location services. We're excited to make our app run on HoloLens and since our app is now optimized to compile on UWP the only thing stopping us from making it compatible to Windows phones is Vuforia's lack of support for Windows 10 Mobile.

It would be very usefull to be able to get the amount of features detected as a percentage to give users some hints about what they should do to detect the image target.
This way we could have for example a progress bar indicating if the app is currently close to detecting an image target.
give some hints to the user, for example if the app detects 20% of the image target, maybe the user should take a step back. Then the app could show a message to the user : "Take a step back".

Markerless tracking , SLAM is also very interesting and needed, to be able to compete with other AR framworks.

Unity Remote has been out for a while but still Vuforia doesn't support it. It will be really handy if we can debug our AR app using Unity Remote 5.
same request as badshah, make the webcam + tracking work windows exes (similar to the editor simulation). Can not be the big thing for high class programmers like you are and others did it somehow.
And some kind of blob detection and tracking would also be great :-)

There is and add-on for Unity http://holographi.space/buy-addon/ but they are selling it for $250 which is too much for a starter like me.
I would really like to be able to use Virtual Buttons on User Defined Targets. I was very disappointed to find out that this is not currently offered!
I like support for the Epson Moverio BT-2000 ( that's the pro version of the bt-200).
Since it has almost the same specs it should be fairly simple . Incorperate the BT-2000 controlfile. Make sure defaul video size ist bigger than 340x240 ( the bt-2000 camera doesn't support this mode anymore ) and declare "support".
That should be it.

Hello, Vuforia Developers. I am relatively new to AR app development. It's been two months I am into this stuff. Mostly, I am facing problem regarding app scanner which is provided by Vuforia. I would definitely request Vuforia to give the details of APIs used by them in the app scanner to scan a 3D object. You know, most of us don't have the so-called Galaxy s7 or the other one to take a good scan of the object. Rather, I have a full HD web cam at my use. So, it would be definitely helping if you guys provide the APIs used in app scanner, or the way in which the logic is implemented in app scanner for 3D scanning.
One more thing, I didn't get any resource regarding reconstruction of 3D object (say toy) using .OD file (or some other way) and I am not referring to Smart Terrain reconstruction. That's different. I mean teleporting a physical toy into a game by reconstructing a physical object digitally. It would be immensly helpful if someone can provide a workflow for that kind of reconstruction.

And for UDT's to be able to be uploaded to the cloud database (along with a pricing change so the cost of this did not get out of control :) )
Yes, this feature has other aspect of usage. We want to process live-feed camera image before going into tracker so as to make the image more easy to be detected by AR engine.

I would thoroughly enjoy the ability to use two printouts of the same Image Target .. and have the designated augment for the Target appear on both trackers simultaneously.
