With toy recognition in unity the ability to see the points of the object target in viewport would be good. Matching gameobject positions in viewport to specific areas of the bounding box is just guess work really.

 Hello Guys. I am a studant, developer and gamer into Brasil. I am developing an academic work in college and would love to release this tool as a multiplatform tool for developers here from my country. However , I realized that the tool does not have a version for Windows Phone or Windows PC systemic platform. Thus, I would like to know if you have projects this year for development of this API for Windows platforms.

+1 on Windows Universal support. Heck, even Windows desktop from Unity would be a step in the right direction. Beyond windows phone, we've had requests from clients to support the ever growing number of Windows tablet/hybrids; particularly in professional (as opposed to gaming) scenarios. We've had to go with a competitor for windows desktop, but even that is far from ideal because A) we generally prefer Vuforia and B) Windows Desktop has limitations in Unity such as a lack of multitouch support, use of the onscreen keyboard, etc. without third party solutions. A Windows Universal setup to match Unity's would be a truly awesome thing.

Hi,

 

It would be great if we could delete a database from the target manager.

This option was available in Vuforia 3.0, but has been removed in 4.0.

 

I've created a lot of database for testing purposes in the past year, but would like to clean this up as it becomes very cluttered.

Hello, I'm developing some mobile applications with 4.0 beta vesion.

I'm using skin Image on the camera view for user interface. and it covered vuforia watermark.

I wonder if you could provide us a watermark image.. Then I can put the watermark image on the my application.

+1 to this, I've been working on a Vuforia powered app for quite some time now and upgraded to the beta only to find my gui partially obscures the watermark, its really inconvenient to have to redesign my GUI around the watermark location at this stage and would love it if the commercial release had the option above.  
 
So no problem with having the watermark, always struck me as odd that Vuforia gave so much and asked for nothing in return, I just think the watermark needs some options so people don't have to design thier whole app around it.   Other then that 4.0 is looking awesome, great stuff guys.

Hey Vuforia guys, I posted a thread asking whether it was possible to move the Vuforia developer watermark around in unity 4.0 and was told that I should make it a suggestion here. So, could you please make it possible to change the position of the Vuforia watermark on device screens, maybe to different corners of the screen please?

Hello,

The camera brightness and exposure compared to the iPhone standard camera is literally night and day.

Below I've attached two screenshots of an iPhone 5s, one taken with the default camera, the other through Vuforia's video feed. I've even turned on auto-exposure (*outside* of Vuforia) but the images are still extremely dim, making cloud recognition extremely difficult. 

I've tested this with an iPhone 5, 5s, iPad 3 and iPad 4, with Vuforia 3 and Vuforia 4, with nothing in the scene except the ARCamera prefab.

I know you have a lot of things to implement, but I think providing a way to increase the exposure with an AE lock should be prioriotized, because if the camera can't see, then all the other features, however awesome may they be, are irrelevant.

In addition to scanning real objects and creating 3D point clouds (really nice!), it would be awesome to have a tool that converts

3D model data (e.g. .obj, .fbx, ..) to the object data format which can then be uploaded in the target manager.

Please, would the Vuforia team PLEASE make a Windows Standalone version?

Not many people are going to post on the forums about the lack of this, especially not here, but let me tell you now that the only reason they don't is because they go off elsewhere and find alternatives to Vuforia that WORK-ON-WINDOWS-AND-MAC!

How many people have to ask for this?  Can you not see that a lot of people want to use it for PC and Mac applications?

It's a new year, forget about toy recognition, forget about nice terrain features, get your Unity3D plugin working for Standalone builds!!

We use laser scanners in our workplace, and would be good to have the ability to upload altered point cloud data sets in some way, to then use that as the target instead of using or as well the app. Very impressed by the object recognition anyway

Please please please build libQCAR.a with the arm64 slice. This is becoming crucial because Apple will not approve any apps for the app store that are not built for arm64 if they contain app extensions. Even more imprtantly, as of February 1st 2015, Apple will no longer accept any apps what so-ever that do not support arm64, as well as 32 but architecture.

If an update doesn't come out soon, we won't be able to submit any Vuforia apps to the app store... I hope you understand the urgency of this matter.

Adobe Native Axtension (ANE),

It will be great is you create Native Axtensions to be used with Adobe AIR(iOS & Android), adobe AIR is one of the best multiplatform frameworks and it is used in toushands of games and apps, it is very powerful and easy tool for developing mixed apps with a lot of GUI and rich 2D/3D graphics.

While Unity GUI implementation its very hard to do and maintain, and expensive, Adobe AIR is ideal for that and its FREE, Vuforia could grow exponentially.

The only one good AR engine now for Adobe AIR is IN2AR, but it is so expensive that they could't even grow enough to mantain the project alive and they are stucked in the same version for the last 2 years.

There are more studios and indepedent developers using Adobe AIR than Unity or native developing tools, so it will be very important for the Vuforia Health and Life.

I feel this combined with Unity's free support for Windows Phone 8, would make AR and Vuforia a major player on Windows Phone 8 and the Windows 8 landscape.
