I was trying the Ground Plane sample app that is mentioned here:

When I test it on android devices, the capsule seems to be moving along with the camera. In ideal situation, the capsule should appear bigger or smaller when moving close or far from it. But in my device the capsule and camera are always maintaining the same distance. I cannot seem to get close to it or far from and I have followed the exact steps as mentioned in your official guide. I tested it on OnePlus 5 and Google 6P. The same thing worked fine on iPhone 6s(though now even it is giving some issues. The camera renders all black but that's for another post on another forum)
Can you please let me know if this is a bug or should I do something differently?

I hope you found an answer for the black screen issue, if not here is the reason, Xcode 9.3 is not supported currently, so you'll have to down grade and compile your application.

I have a similar issue. i'm placing a full-scale room model as a child of the Ground Plane stage. I'm using the 'DeployStageOnce' script so we only spawn one instance.

I know it sounds silly, but have you inadvertantly made the Ground Plane Stage a child of the Camera?
