I want to create an app that uses an image target to initialize a 3d model and then the extended tracking gives me the freedom of movement just as the ground plane does. when activating the positional device tracker, should I select option optimize for ground plane or optimize for image target? Assuming the device supports the ground plane.
In Vuforia 7.2 there are two different Extended Tracking capabilities offered:
- Fusion: ARKit/ARCore/Vuforia VIO - works on supported devices; enables Model Targets and Ground Plane features
- SLAM: Legacy Vuforia functionality - works on all devices for legacy features (e.g. not Model Targets and Ground Plane)
