Ground Plane and Smart Terrain

I have a question about smart terrain, we were advice before that smart terrain will be depreciated in Vuforia 7, and now seems like is part of the Ground Plane feature that looks really great.

But I had developed a minigame with smart terrain and i miss the feature that tracks objects volume and positions that I use to render castle towers over those real objects.

Is there a way to access the smart terrain detail in Ground Plane construction? Have somethings to track objects volume?

Hi - I'm interested in this too. I'm trying to find a way to introduce the approximate hit volumes of real world objects (NOT targets - arbitrary objects) into a Ground Plane scene. I assumed that Smart Terrain would let me do this, especially now that it's built into Ground Plane, but I can't find any documentation about it.

Any help would very gratefully appreciated!

edit: I want to use Ground Plane with Smart Terrain because my game needs to be playable *without* markers.
