My smartphone is Sony Xperia Z1 Compact, on Vuforia Fusion Supported Devices it's stated that Ground Plane may work on devices not explicitly mentioned in the tables assuming that the devices meet the minimum required specifications (android 6.0, Gyroscope and selective image stabilization).
I have a custom 7.1 ROM installed on my device, so it's higher than 6.0. Gyroscope works too, and Sony apps like AR Effect and AR Fun work pretty fast and smooth (as they did even on 4.4)
The only thing i doubt is "Selective Image Stabilization" - I don't know what Selective means. Tried to google it, but found optical/digital stabilization and selective one, but it's about actual physical eyes. Standard SteadyShot (digital) stabilization works though.
So I thought that it should work, I've followed this tutorial, but, unfortunately, it didn't. logcat says this:
Vuforia SmartTerrain cannot be initialized when Vuforia Fusion uses the vision-only provider
Is it a complete "NO"?
Hello STeeL835,
Hello STeeL835,
As the article mentions, the feature may work on other devices, but if the device isn't on that list there is no guarantee that it will work. Apologies for the inconvenience.
Thanks,
Vuforia Engine Support
